MassTransparency is Coming Out of Hibernation

Or, as Billy Corgan once said before he went partial-InfoWars, "you know I'm not dead."

It's been a minute since I've written anything here. You don't need to know about my mental health (I'm fine and doing better, but when I'm down everything else goes down with it), but the point is that a) I've got some things cooking, and b) expect more from me in the next few weeks.

Projects I'm working on:

• From a mechanical perspective, MassTransparency is moving off of Ghost and onto a different platform. Nothing against Ghost except its expense, and my new provider is cheaper for me.
  
  In addition, I now have a dedicated server for all things MassTransparency, and docs are slowly migrating. Want to see what I've pulled for your town? Now that link can be found here.
• Projects!
  • The Massachusetts AI Curriculum Pilot. I spent some time in the spring querying the 40 school districts that took part, and it's interesting. As always, however, the story is less about the topic and more about the transparency - expect a post on this on Thursday or Friday.
  • Worcester District Attorney records. I have tried since January to get these records and it is now August and still incomplete. As soon as I have the remainder, I'll be sharing.
  • Flock Cameras. It's the topic of the moment but given that I've started to drive past one in Grafton semi-regularly, it's been an effort to get some information on them and the news cycle moves faster than the Public Records Law does.
